Moorine Sekadde

Dr Moorine Penninah Sekadde, is the technical lead for child and adolescent TB, advanced HIV disease in children at the Uganda Ministry of health and has over 15 years of diverse experience in clinical care, capacity building, research, design and implementation of public health interventions, with a focus on infectious diseases. She is a pediatrician trained at Makerere University in Uganda, with additional training in public health (Epidemiology) from the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, as well as implementation research from the HIV, Infectious Disease and Global Health Implementation Research Institute (HIGH IRI). She is the current chair for the Child and Adolescent TB Technical Working Group of the STOP TB Partnership; a published researcher; an active member on several scientific advisory committees; a past member on WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Tuberculosis (STAG-TB). Her career goal is to contribute to the national, regional and global provision and scale-up of high-quality patient-centered care through an integrated and data-driven approach, ensuring impactful and sustainable health interventions.
