Priya Shete
Priya Shete is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Her research focuses on improving access to and quality of tuberculosis (TB) care for vulnerable populations and has highlighted the importance of addressing patient- and health system-level barriers to quality TB care in high-burden settings. Her research background is complemented by experience working with the World Health Organization’s Global TB Programme. She has also served as a public health advisor for USAID, with a focus on health system strengthening, and with the California Department of Public Health, where she served as a team lead for modeling and analytics during the COVID-19 response. Dr. Shete also directs the UCSF Implementation Science Training Program and serves as an attending physician on the Pulmonary Consult Service, in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, and in the Department of Public Health Tuberculosis Clinic at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
